“Will I Ever Get Married?” Here’s What Your Natal Chart Says About Delayed or Denied Marriage
These are some of the most common questions I’ve heard from clients over the past 10 years:
“When will I marry?”

“Why do I feel like marriage just isn’t meant for me in this lifetime?”
It’s true — your natal chart can reveal if marriage might be delayed or even denied. But let’s be clear: one challenging aspect alone doesn’t determine your fate. In a few rare cases, people do have very difficult planetary alignments that make traditional partnerships unlikely. However, in most charts I’ve seen, the story is more about delay, not denial.
Since this is such a popular topic — in both natal chart readings and tarot sessions — I decided to break it down and explain the key astrological indicators that can suggest a delay or absence of marriage.
First, Let’s Talk About Timing
The idea of a “right age” to get married is outdated. People today marry later for many reasons — career, education, personal growth, or financial goals. So, if you’re 30 or older and not married yet, don’t panic. Your timing is unique, and astrology can offer clarity, not judgment.
What To Look For In Your Natal Chart
When someone asks me why they’re still single or if they’ll ever get married, I look at a few key parts of their chart:
- The 7th House (house of partnerships)
- The ruler of the 7th House
- Any planets sitting in the 7th House
- The aspects these planets make
Here’s what I’ve found over time:
⚠️ Signs Marriage May Be Significantly Delayed
- Saturn conjunct Venus, Rahu, or Mercury in the 7th House
- Saturn and Moon together in the 7th House
- Sun in the Ascendant (1st House) and Saturn in the 7th House
⏳ Indicators of a Marriage Delay (But Not Denial)
- Saturn in aspect with Jupiter
- Saturn in the 5th House
- Venus in the 7th House, aspecting the Moon from the 11th House
- Ascendant ruler conjunct Venus in the 8th House
- Cancer Ascendant
- Sun in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 7th, 8th, or 9th House
- Venus is 43° or more away from the Sun
❌ When Marriage May Be Denied
- Saturn and Sun both in the 7th House
- A void-of-course Venus
Important Reminder:
No single aspect can fully predict your future. It’s when multiple challenging patterns show up together — without enough positive aspects to balance them — that we may see significant blocks around marriage.
